Job Responsibilities

The duties for this role include but are not limited to:

• Report directly to Public Relations Manager
• Support media relations efforts including fulfillment of media requests and pitching
• Develop and maintain up-to-date media lists
• Track media coverage and compile press clippings
• Maintain calendar of opportunities and team deadlines
• Casting for in-house and out-of-house productions
• Assist in the development of press materials, including but not limited to press releases, newsletter articles, and award submissions
• Contribute ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts to increase visibility and understanding of represented brands
• Create content and compose blogs for assigned brand(s)
• Assist with planning and execution of events and productions projects
• Respond to assigned media requests

Requirements

• Public relations internship experience at an agency or in-house is required, 1+ year experience preferred
• Display an understanding of communications principles as well as knowledge and familiarity of media.
• Stellar writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Detailed oriented and organized
• Experience working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, team environment
• Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
