What You Will Learn

Goals

• Organize minimum 2-3 events a week in each space and build up a pipeline of events that will occur daily in Hive’s spaces.
• Achieve event space weekly sales target in each space.
• Organize paid workshop once a month and achieve ticket sales target.

Responsibilities __ Event Production

• Research current popular topics and build up Calendar of Topics (by themes and schedule).
• Develop an overall event strategy: what kind of event should we organize, who to invite, what type of event, which dates are best to do events, how to work with partners.
• Get familiar with demands of events, what is currently “happening”, and who’s who in the startup landscape.
• Build up a proprietary database of Subject Matter Experts and Startups within EV Portfolio and Founders in the area of themed topics.
• Manage the event team (may include associates and/or interns) to research topics, coordinate event calendar and send invites.
• Develop SOP for events (e.g. PDF that gets sent out to speakers).

Events Management

• Plan and execute every event according to the strategy. This includes inviting speakers, creating partnerships, finding sponsors and publishing events.
• Work together with Finance Manager to manage and control event budget.
• Work closely with Facility Manager to coordinate event needs.
• Liaise with event space renters from the sales process to d-day logistical needs.

Requirements

• Degree from a reputable university
• Knowledge of the startup ecosystem, familiar with the people and current issues
• Great communication skills both verbally and written(English and Indonesian)
• Event organizing experience
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
• Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
• Enthusiasm and understanding for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and startups
• Enthusiasm and understanding for EV Hive mission and values
• Proficient in basic computer skills
